Lie de Thé
Lie de Thé (Tea Dregs, in the less romantic English) is a writing ink made by Jacques Herbin, allegedly since 1670,[1] although this is naturally difficult to corroborate.
It's a nice shade of brown, slightly more on the yellow than red side. Contrast with their slightly redder Café des Îles.
On a personal note, I really wanted to like this one, as it's been made for a reassuringly long time, and I like the near-guarantee of consistency into the future. Alas, it's a bit too yellow for my liking. I much prefer the deeper reddish tint of Café des Îles.
