Digital Research

Digital Research (originally Intergalactic Digital Research, a company name to rival Electronic Dream Plant) was a software company based in California.

They made CP/M, the operating system which DOS was based on; GEMDOS, an operating system that Atari ported across to the ST and renamed TOS; and GEM, the desktop environment also used in the ST.
