Blog
A blog (short for weblog) is a website, usually written by one person, consisting of entries listed in reverse chronological order. They tend to be online diaries, collections of essays, or a mixture of the two.
Their ordering makes it easy to see the latest entries someone has written, but difficult to find a specific one you're looking for, or related ones. A blog's entries are also unlikely to be revised after they're first published. To a certain extent, a blog seems like an inherently disposable medium, for those perpetually eager to move on to the next new thing.
In short, a blog is like a person's public journal.
Contrast with a personal wiki, also a website written by one person. Unlike a blog, a personal wiki consists of articles indexed by subject and linked together, more akin to a small, specialised encyclopedia.
