CDE

CDE (short for Common Desktop Environment) is a standardised desktop environment for some versions of Unix and its clones. It was popular on workstations in the 1990s, and has a rather distinctive pastel aesthetic.
It uses the Motif widget toolkit, making its appearance familiar to those accustomed to Hewlett-Packard's VUE or IRIX's IRIX Interactive Desktop, and vice versa.
It was proprietary from its initial release in 1993 until 2012, at which point it became free software. It's since been ported to Linux and BSD.
There's also a comparatively modern remake, NsCDE (the Not so Common Desktop Environment).
