Joy
The Joy is a fountain pen by Lamy. It's essentially the calligraphic version of the popular Safari, having a ribbon nib installed as standard.
The Joy's fully compatible with the Safari, working with the same ink cartridges and converter. Even the nibs are interchangeable.
The only inherent difference between the two pens themselves is that the Joy is longer and more tapered. Having said that, the whole pens only cost a little more than the nibs by themselves, so it's scarcely worth the effort of getting just an extra nib when you can more easily source a whole extra pen and converter.
In summary, if you want to try your hand at calligraphy, the Joy is the pen to go for, more for its default nib than its length.
