Showthrough

In the context of stationery, showthrough is when your writing is faintly visible from the other side of the page. It can be anywhere from unobtrusive to distracting.

You can minimise showthrough by using thicker paper.

Contrast with bleedthrough, in which the ink soaks right through the page, onto the other side. This is a much bigger issue, rendering the other side impossible to write on.
