Behringer VC340
Behringer VC340

The VC340 is Behringer's clone of the VP-330. In terms of the look and feel, it's specifically a clone of the later revision, with the same kind of switches used on the Jupiter-8 and TR-808.

As with Behringer's other clones, it modernises the original by adding MIDI, and otherwise stays as close as possible to the real thing. It also reduces the keyboard from four to three octaves, and generally shrinks everything down to a slightly more manageable size, not least of which being the price. In my opinion, this is a perfect tradeoff. As for everything else, it's so similar to the original that it doesn't warrant its own summary. If you want the real thing but can't afford it, this is a fine substitute.
