Chessmen

Chessmen (also known as chess pieces) are the figurines placed on a chessboard and moved around in order to play chess.

Chessmen consist of two sides, Black and White. These can be symbolised by any relatively dark and light colours respectively, chiefly the naturally contrasting colours of different types of wood. Each side has a King, a Queen, two Rooks, two Bishops, two Knights, and eight Pawns.
