ST1901

ST1901 tech specs

The ST1901 is a chronograph movement made by Tianjin Seagull, based on the 175 by Venus.

It runs at a higher frequency — 3 Hz, compared to the 175's 2.5 Hz. It also has two more jewels.

Compared to a modern Tongji, winding it up feels comparatively effortless. Starting and stopping the stopwatch is a bit more significant, as is to be expected, considering it's engaging and disengaging a substantial mechanism.

It's the movement used in the 1963.[1]
