Centipawn

A centipawn is a unit of measurement equal to a hundredth the value of capturing a Pawn. It's used by computer programs to measure the strength of individual moves.

It's quite abstract, and has no bearing on humans playing against each other until analysing the game later on, and even then only with a computer.
