FreeDOS
FreeDOS is an operating system. Specifically, it's a free clone of DOS, the operating system that originally came with IBM PCs and their beige box clones before Windows 95.
It can be useful if you want to run legacy software, or dedicate a computer to a single task at a time, such as writing without distractions.
